Someone named Troy who could barely speak English called and said that the US government had decided to give me and 1500 other people a grant for $7000 because I paid my income taxes, didn't file bankruptcy and had a clean criminal record. He gave me the number 202-657-4335 to call. I called, and again the person was barely coherent and in fact was very rude when I asked him to repeat himself. He said I could pick up my money today at CVS, Walgreens. 7-11 or other pharmacies after buying a Green Dot Money Card. I didnt get any more information because I seemed suspicious and he hung up on me. I called back and was told to hang up and call again until I got the same person again. Wow. I'm sure its a Green Dot scam. At the very least I'd have to pay the fee for a card, then I'm sure they'd want the number. Not happening.
