I bought tires at Sears utilizing the WhyNotLeaseIt promotion. Had them take monthly payments out. Did not know that they would take the first two payments out the first month. In month 3 I was the victim of an identity theft and changed my credit card. I tried to contact them repeatedly at this time, but was NOT ABLE TO REACH THEM DIRECTLY. They have to be reached via their Customer Service, which is (in my experience) always a 20-40 minute wait. Then when you get to Customer Service, they have to contact Billing, which they were unable to do (the phone just kept ringing). I asked for a dedicated number that I could call. They gave me 888-542-1146, a number that rings once and then goes busy. THIS IS THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I'VE EVER EXPERIENCED. To top it all off, they charged me $25 extra for the new credit card #. Bottomline: A big thumbsdown (!) and as far as I'm concerned the company's name is WhyLeaseIt!
