An individual called our business last week purporting to act on behalf of google to optimise our listing and to "renew" our subscription at a cost of £199.
This was clear misrepresentation and fraud as we have never used either google optimisation services or anyone acting on their behalf. Innocently one of our staff privided debit card details but we now find that our account has been debited by £240 by an organisation called Link promotions. This is a clear scam and I am in contact with trading standards to report this fraudulent practice in the vain hope that we may recover this money and prevent other companies being similarly duped into parting with their hard earned cash
