i received a phone call from a man with a heavy Indian accent, stating he was from the "Tax litigation department of the Internal Revenue Service" asking for my dad. i said he was not home. the man on the phone, Jack Thomas asked me to write down this information and have my dad call back:

"call back the Investigation officer, Michael Carter, with account number 890421 to have this issue resolved. there is a miscalculation on his income taxes."

i called the number back, and with helpful information from this website on another complaint coming from the exact same phone number, i said there is no one by that name living here. he simply said he would take the name off the list and we will not get another phone call again.
