I was directed to a survey from a Pharmacy store I do shop at... after the survey I was awarded the choice of a few prizes. I chose a camera, filled in my mailing address and paid my $3.00 shipping fees. I received a receipt of my $3.00 shipping costs. Then waited patiently for the arrival of the camera. Several weeks later, I emailed them to find out what was happening.. they said I did not send the required documents of valid ID and "signed credit card" and that 14 days had passed, the offer was over and I would not be getting my camera. With no knowledge at that time of the "extra" $65.85 or the additional .25 cents they had taken from my credit card.
Looking back at the receipt I did find in small writing this information, almost hidden within all the other repetative paragraphs in type on the bottom of the receipt. It stated that it was a one gift per household which required documentation. Kind of made sense, kind of felt scam. I did email them and request my $3.00 back what I had thought was my only charge and told them if they required my signature they should not have taken the money without it. They did return the $3.00 only.
