Was high pressured into purchasing a studio unit that was to be built by August, 2014. Also was required to purchase an annuity for $500, that as far as I can tell is worthless. Resort is not building any studio units in the near future - last time frame i was told is 2016. In the meantime you have three choices - don't go, upgrade to an existing 2 bedroom unit for another $13,000 or upgrade and rent a 2 bedroom for $800 a week. My contract was for studio at $350 a week - big difference. Was also told they would buy back the property in two years - now they tell me I don't qualify. Never received any documentation, information about the timeshare, a deed, etc. Just have my contract, which they are now trying to tell me is just a membership to be able to use the property, not for a specific unit. Every benefit they told me I would get from purchasing there turned out to be a lie. They use deception to get you to buy and then you are just out the money unless you want to give them MORE money. This place can also be rented online at places like Orbitz, etc. How can this be a private resort and fractional ownership if anyone online can rent there?
