Loan Zoo took a payment of £44.99 from my bank account as soon as my money went in from the social about a week after applying for various loans. I didn't realise I had ticked a box agreeing to the T&C's authorising the payment. I rang up to request a refund and they sent me a refund form via email which I completed and returned. I got an email back saying I would receive a full refund in 30 days (26th March) which could take between 1-5 days to show in my account. I was a bit miffed at having to wait so long but just happy to be granted a refund. It got to the 26th and indeed the 5 days after and still no refund. I rang up and was told it had been issued on the 26th and should be in however he would issue a fast track refund for me and it would be in by the end of the day. I checked the next morning and it hadn't gone in so I phoned again. They said it had been declined and it turned out they had my wrong account number I gave them my new one and they told me end of the day again. Same story next morning and upon ringing I was told it was declined again - no idea why as the details were spot on...I thought they were having me on at this point however he said he would issue it to another account of my choice so I gave him my partners details and he made the payment which she checked on her online banking and it went in instantly, was so relieved.

So my point is, while it it quite misleading how they take the money they did actually stick go their word about giving me a refund and were quite helpful when I rang up - even though it is a PAIN to get through...took me over 20 mins each time.

Keep on to them, you will get your refund.
