I was calling the TracPhone number to buy airtime for my mother's phone for her. My call was intercepted by a recording that told me the number I dialed has a new service. I can't remember verbatim so I called it two times to be able to write what it said, it was something about press 1 to get $300 in vouchers and certificates that I can supposedly use at over 100 + stores such as WalMart and Best Buy, etc. I called it back a third time to get message exact but this time the message just said that there was a new # and gave me the # 1800 777-3000.
Anyways on the 1st call I did press 1 and spoke to a Dennis Anderson. He gave me the same speal. He had such an accent I could barely understand him and I had to ask him to spell some things for me. In his speal he said that it would not cost me anything and it would not expire. Then he told me that there was a one time fee of $14.95 for shipping and handling! I asked him where he was located and he told me CA. I asked where in CA? He told me it was confidential. I asked North or South? He said they are headquartered in CA and again where specifically was confidential. I asked him what exactly would they be sending me? He said a certificate card. I said I am in CA already and for $14.95 I could send 1000 of them.. he just again said that it was a one time cost. I repeated myself and he said that is what UPS charges. I told him I could practically have a laptop shipped for that kind of price...he hung up on me. LOL I researched the name on the internet and in the details it says that you have to spend over $100 (at whatever ONE store) in a one month period and they will send you a voucher for $25 for the ONE brand that you choose your savings on. NO THANKS I THINK I WILL KEEP MY $14.95!!!
