I was browsing for loans and filled in my details on this companies site to verify who I was. Once I noticed there was a "charge", I closed the screen and never progressed with anymore information. The next day they had taken £69 out of my account.
I called the customer services number and to be fair the guy that dealt with me was very friendly and helpful. He said they had a lender waiting to contact me. I asked if this loan would be guaranteed to which he replied it wasn't. I knew that if they connected me to the lender I wouldn't be eligible for a refund as to them they would have done their job. So I told the guy I didn't want a loan anymore, just a refund.
He explained that I had to submit it in writing and gave me the address.
I wrote a letter to them explaining I wanted a refund as they hadn't technically done anything for me yet.
Today I've just got home to find my letter has been returned to me with a sticker from Royal Mail saying the company refused it.
I got straight on the phone (and from the sound of it, it was the same guy that dealt with me before).
He told me that he couldn't understand why the letter would have been returned and that a refund has been authorised on the account. He then explained to me that I would only get £32 refunded as the other £37 is for their letters, phone calls and e-mails they have sent me. (To date they haven't contacted me once). I knew it would be pointless arguing the case with them, I'll just be happy to receive some of it back. It should be back in my account within 7 days, I will update on here when and if it does. It's certainly made me very aware to check out companies reviews and things before I fill in any details. If I had seen a site like this before hand I could have saved myself the money and the stress. I hope everyone else that got duped out of money manages to get some back. Good luck,

Update: 03/27/2014

Thought I'd follow up to let everyone know that today I received a refund for £32 into my account from credit maze. I know it's just under half of what they took, but I'm grateful I got something back. Good luck
