In September 2013, I received a call from David Edwards from simplify law group telling me I could refinance my home at a lower interest rate and they can reduce the balance of my loan since I'm under the water. I got really excited about it and decided to go for it. To make a long story short, I sent them $2,990 thinking they were going to refinance my home but come to find out it was for a loan modification which in turn proved to be a scam.
