Saw an ad online for DermaJuve Hydrating Cream. The ad indicated that item was free; I only had to pay for shipping in the amount of $4.95. I received the item and my credit card account was charged $4.95. No problem.
A few weeks later, my credit card bill came in the mail. I didn't pay much attention; however, as I was filing the bill away, I noticed a charge from DermaJuve for $74.95 I called the 800# and questioned the charge for $74.95. I was told that this product was shipped to me as part of a trial. I did not return the item or contact DermaJuve in the 14 days allowed. I disputed the charge and after several tries, the customer service Rep "offered" me a "settlement" credit for $38.00. "Settlement" means that once I accept the credit, I cannot pursue them for the balance in any other fashion. No way....I called my credit card company and told them what happened and received a full credit. VISA will pursue the issue with DermaJuve. My question is this - How many people have they scammed with the "settlement" credit?
I went back to my browsing history to locate the website. Could not find it.
