I looked at a loan site in line on Saturday 2/22/2014 I did not give them my bank details I typed my name in and my cell/mobile number and then I thought better of it. I closed the page and forgot about it. I then received 200 text messages and 40 phone calls so far from loan companies. This morning www.1loan.uk took £49.99 from my bank account. They were not even the site I looked at. I called my bank The Halifax, and they told me it's not fraud because these companies charge you for searching for a loan but I did not do this they will not return my money or investigate it as fraud. I was told to go to trading standards. I am incandescent with rage. I am going to TS and to the police my bank are bloody useless and I am changing my accounts this is the second time they have refused to pay me back or investigate and obvious fraud. I am also complaining about them to their Head office and the ombudsmen if that does not work. I cannot find contact details for them to ring or email which is what the bank told me to do!!
