I to was scammed by this group of individuals. I received a phone call from a representative who said he worked for Simplify Law Group and offered to do a modification on my home mortgage. I told him I would think about it and I would call them back. I went online and did research and the only thing that came up on them was a legitimate law firm who specializes it home modifications. They sent me all the documents to sign and I told them that I couldn't afford to pay my mortgage and what they called a retainer fee of $2,400.00, so they told me they could have the two months of mortgage put on the back of my loan. After they received the $2,400.00 they stopped answering my phone calls and would not return any of my message. Because of this my home has been placed in foreclosure status and I am out $2,400.00. I don't know what to do, I am on the verge of losing my house that me and my kids have been in for 7 years.
