My mother in law was scammed via phone call today and duped out of hundreds of dollars, her PC was compromised, they took it over remotely.

A company calling themselves "Windows Technical Service" at this number (952-467-6390) called my mother in law and said she have a virus and needed her "windows license renewed" and computer "cleaned", they then had her sit down in front of her computer and launch a website that allowed the scammers full access to her computer where they falsely said she had viruses, they then asked her for her credit card number to pay for "a new windows license", sadly she complied, they charged her over $300.00. She's since asked the credit card company to not pay the fraudsters and had her card number changed. I called these bastards and they claim they work for Microsoft, they also claimed they are in Fresno California, but they're area code is actually Minnesota.
