We had the same scam ... Exceeding Expectations is the new name of the group promoting the same vacation club membership. We also were offered $1000 off for the first suckers. When we said no to the $8900, we were offered a new plan for $6000. When we said no again, they talked about the defaults from the folks who were affected by Sandy ... apparently they are all in default so to help those folks, if we purchased a plan for $3,400, these folks will be released from their dept. Using victims of Sandy is just unbelieveable. We left with our cards to order our tickets but found it to be through this same, orbital promotions, and that it would cost us. Luckily I found this site and didn't go ahead.
