Complaint 305013 Details

My mother received a check & letter via air mail. The letter at right hand corner address from Capital Financial Services, Inc., which I contacted and found that the number was for a California office that doesnt have any locations in Franklin, Tn., as listed in the compant address. This check is supposedly from the UK & North America Stores Sweepstakes Reward, the serial #277647. The check was for non-residence clearance fee. The letter also had names of clearance officers: Faith Peters & Kelly Benson located at 32 Mort Lake Street, Dublin, Ireland, no zip code. The letter says this
For was for all customers for their purchases. The end of the letter had the name: Dr. Lewis Coleman (Promotions Director). This was drawn on Wells Fargo Bank from a New Jersey company: Mondelez International, which I contacted and found that they did not issue a check, thats not what they'd do, they are a food distribution company. Thus check has not been cashed nor deposited into any bank accounts because it is a scam. I am filing forms with the state of California and New Jersey Office of the Attorney General.
