Just got scammed (I suspect). Saw an ad on Craigslist for tickets
to the Bills/Redskins game in Toronto. Were about 1/2 the face value price, and didn't suspect anything because there's a glut of tickets.
E-mail from 'Selena' said she was a BA flight attendant who was awarded tickets because of a company promotion, but couldn't go to the game because she was working/flying. Asked for quick payment and delivery terms because she was at the airport in Toronto about to fly out of town. I should have suspected because of the payment pressure. Said that Western Union was safe and reliable and that once confirmed, the tickets would be couriered to my residence.
That's all. I, like a sucker, went quickly to WU and wired money to a third party (should have stopped right there, but didn't). Long story short is that I lost 250 dollars. Could have been worse I suppose.
