On Jan 19, me and my mom attended a free seminar about investing in US real estate market. The speaker was very motivating and encouraging about changing your life today. Shared about different ways to invest in the Estate market even talked about tax liens. At the end my mom decided to sign up and give it a try without researching into this company deeper. We paid $1997 CAD, at the end the company charged us in USD which turned out to be around $2300 on our bank statement.

The first day of the seminar (Jan24) we walked in expecting to hear about "how" to invest. But the speaker Paul Young (claimed he's from Toronton, later on the second day he said "you Canadians are so smart)only covered info about how to increase your credit limit by negotiating with the bank, and talked about the advanced training course will cost about 19k-64k.

We walked out of the class being very disappointed but since we paid so much, why not give it a try again tomorrow.

Second day we attended the class to find out how Paul managed to marry his wife and have two kids which is very irrelevant to the real estate market. Then he pulled up the software prop trend and started showing us the housing at wholesale cost on the software. Everyone was excited to see the cheaper housing they have to offer in the States and the figures we could be making if we decide to go ahead with the program.

I then talked to my boyfriend and he told me this all sounds very PONZI...so I started googling the software "proptrend reviews" and all the scandal posted came up about this company on scambook. I looked deeper and started reading everyone's comments on here. After awhile I started chatting with the elderly couple sitting beside me and warned them to look into this company. I believe they also went home the second day reading what I had found on this site.

On the third day (Jan 26) we went into the class thinking about warning the other classmates that are in there. I showed this scambook site to a couple and later this couple went to the back and spoke to the staff that's working in there, and me and my mom got pulled out from the class. The lady Davina promised to give us a full refund by writing down what she had verbally promised and told us to leave. We refused to leave and they called the security on us. At this point we know they are all faking it, and the couple I spoke to in the morning is probably one of them! Instead of proving to us they are not a scandal, all they could do is to kick us out of the class. The piece of paper from Davina has no legal effect and I am pretty sure her promise in writing will not get us the money back (she's with the company for 10 years and can't even remember the customer service line of the company) But all we wanted to do is to warn the other innocent elders in class who had worked hard for their money to walk out clean. Before throwing another 40K-64K into the "advanced training" you really need to do more research about this company and be more careful about your money.
