I googled HRMC and their lising (tax gateway) came up first. Thought I was on HMRC site which I have used many times before. Completed both mine and my husbands tax return (the pages are exactly same as HMRC's. At the end of each they asked for £500 from each of us, which I thought was first payment of my tax liability.
These people are crooks, they charged me £500 for nothing. I paid on mastercard so I have asked credit card company to stop the payment, but Im not hopeful.
