I signed a book publishing contract with Raider Publishing International through its so-called Principal, Adam Salviani for a Gold Package and I paid $2,749 through a bank transfer from my account to their account in New York. Since the contract said that the author's work is published within 12 months from the date of submission of manuscripts, I expected that my book could come out latest by August 2012. However, I haven't heard from Raider Publishing since then. I made numerous calls but each time, I was taken straight to voice mail in which I left messages for him to call me back. I also sent him e-mails but he never responded. This was my first novel, and as an aspiring writer I thought I was going to make it through this novel. I was impressed by the Raider Publishing's information on their website and through the e-mails that Mr. Salviani sent me before we signed the contract. As a person who earns very little, I had to go for a bank loan to pay for that contract. And I am still paying for the loan, two years after signing the contract and the fruits of my two-year work are nowhere in sight. I am so devastated because I had made my own publicity to try and bring up awareness about the forth coming book even in my own country but I am bathed in shame and soaked in humiliation. My career as well as my general morale have been ruined. Though I have more ideas for more books, I just don't have the spark to sit and write again. Please help! I need all the help I can get from you! Save my aspirations and help me keeping them alive.
I have all along been seeking legal action but no attorney has been eager enough to help me; may be because I am too far away in Africa or may be no attorney was interested in this case because I was seeking for a Pro-Bono service on this matter. I have just been searching for an attorney when i came across information which lead me to this website. All along I haven't known that this was a scam and that I am not alone in this fix.
I have all the e-mail correspondences with Adam Salviani, and I also have a copy of the signed contract document. In addition, I have the Telegraphic Transfer transaction copy of proof of transfer from my bank. In short, I have all the necessary documentation to prove my deal with Raider Publishing. Salviani has to face justice. He has ruined my writing career which I worked hard for to build, and he nipped it in the bud; before it even grew.
