I contacted Global Visas in January 2013 to make an inquiry regarding immigration to Australia. The 'consultant' I spoke to assured me I was eligible and could apply for a visa that would allow me, my husband and our (at the time) unborn baby to go to Australia.
I was asked to pay a £600 deposit in order for my case to be passed along to a case manager which I agreed to. I then spoke to said case manager for 15 minutes on the phone one day where she explained to me all the things I needed to give her in order to start processing an application and all the fees I needed to pay. The original consultant had told me none of this and had in fact lied to me about how much it would cost.
The following day (having sent global visas no documents at this stage) I received some very bad news about an immediate family member which changed our views about moving to Australia. I contacted my case manager - bearing in mind absolutely no work would have been done on my 'case' at this point - to explain what had happened and that we would no longer be able to consider a move overseas.
I was then told that regardless of this I would still have to pay global visas £2,400. I told them there was no chance of this, yet they took the money from my bank account without authorisation and to this day I have still not been able to get a penny back. They claimed to my bank they were in the right and I was told by the bank that it was a case out of their hands. I was heavily pregnant at the time and was down £2,400 so was in no position to put up a legal fight. This is a disgusting, immoral company which took my money despite doing no work for me. It needs to be shut down.

  • Hi,

We would ask you to speak with your Case Manager asap to get your issues resolved, as we must follow our own complaints procedures to ensure resolution. We're unable to discuss details of your private case on a public forum but generally we don't provide refunds because a client has changed their mind. Our team of immigration experts can't be expected to work for free- their experience means that our clients enjoy a 98% success rate- and every one of our clients has to agree to our contract terms before we charge them anything.

We look forward to hearing from you soon.

    Thanks,

    IXP Visas
