Got a letter in the mail. Envelope is postmarked Canada, the letter is addressed UK, and the "check" enclosed is made out from a bank in Scottsdale AZ. The letter was telling me that I was "one of the declared winners of the MEGA LOTTERY conducted in UK being the host of the event for this present year Mega Jackpot lotto winning programs held on October 25th, 2013..." Considering I have never been to the UK, nor had I entered a lottery, I immediately knew this was a scam. In the letter, it states that the "check" for $3550.00 was to be used to pay the $1475.00 in taxes that I owed on the $150,000.00 I had "won." The letter instructed me to keep the winnings "confidential until your claim has been processed." I WILL not be fooled by this scam letter, and I WILL be reporting this to both the business that the check came from, and the US government
