i placed an order for dvd's. the shipping charge was suppose to be a one time charge of ten dollars for the entire order. i was charged $2.99 or more for each item that was sent, one at a time, over a 30 day period. the shipping charges are approaching $30.00 (and growing) in spite of the fact that the company stated that the shipping charges where not to exceed $10.00 for shipping the entire order, even if they were to ship one item at a time. these actions appear to be company policy and is implemented in a manner that you, the credit card holder, would not question them. when you receive your monthly statement, hotmoniesale.com has submitted your order, one item at a time, so that they appear on your credit card statement as one item at a time. the amount of money is so small ($4.00 to $20.00) that the normal reaction is not to question the charges ( because they are so small compared to your normal charges) and pay more attention to the larger charges, letting the small ones pass thru to be paid without questions.
the second compliant is the automatic sale of the membership (to what i don't know) for $20.95, which i had no idea that it even existed until i got my credit card statement. when questioned, i was told that i had ordered it. but when i became firm that i had not ordered it, they reluctantly gave me credit.
i had to be forceful to insure that the credit that i wanted, which i have yet to receive, was given to me. to reach someone who had the authority to give me credit that i required, i had to go from one person to another. after a while, i became tired of the whole mess and started to give up, but then i realized that this is what they wanted me to do. so be forceful and don't give up.
