Benn McDonald, as he claims his name to be, contacted me for an ad that I had posted in gumtree requesting for tix to a show. I called him up asking for details - he sounded genuine but then I did feel I should rethink my decision when he said the tix are available with him but cannot be sent by email but only by post. I should have trusted by instincts but was too crazy about this show tix that I did not think wisely.
He arranged a paypal transfer for the 3 tickets. I went ahead and paid him off. I asked him to send me at least a pic of the tickets asap but he hasn't done so. I researched about him in the internet the next morning and found that Matt Verall was listed as a scammer in gumtree. Benn McDonald's phone number is 0431511567.
I called up paypal immediately and lodged a dispute realising the payment was complete. I am waiting to hear from them now.

Update: 12/18/2013
After the dispute lodgement, Matt Verrall has refunded the amount back to me. I consider this case as closed. Hope others do not face the same.
