Free intro offer (2 week trial period), following which company bills your credit card. The amount above breaks down to $89 for 60 capsules of Pure Garcinia Cambogia and $82 for 90 capsules of Cleanse Fx (billed as a “light all natural daily cleanse”). Following a Dr. Oz video extolling the clinical formula Carcinia Cambogia extract, a phone number to call. After three weeks, neither product produced any noticeable effect, other than a mild (and questionable) drop of two or three pounds. I could not detect any cleansing effect from Cleanse Fx the whole time.

Since the Garcinia Cambogia claims it has 1000 mg per serving (2 capsules), this puts it in a league with the GNC product of the same name. From what I've read, to get the proper results, you have to take 1800 mg, which makes the Garcinia marketed by Total Nutrition completely useless.

I understand someone else has filed a complaint against a different company -- The Shore Break Group, Bahamas -- listed on the product label. This company “distributes” the Garcinia Cambogia that is produced by Total Nutrition Inc. There is no other commercial information on the label, which I should have spotted when I received the product.

Each of the items I ordered came with identically formatted invoices but different customer care contact numbers. To cancel both I had to call each number separately. The same menu system with the same recorded instructions came on; two gentlemen answered in exactly the same way and followed the same procedure in canceling future billing of my credit card. Whereas on ordering both products over the phone, I had talked to only one operator, who had actively pushed the trial offer for Cleanse Fx.

Total Nutrition might have been scamming the public for years, for all I know. I doubt there is any way to get my money back.
