Hello,
The first thing I wish to say is this company is clearly breaking the law. Their so called Guarantor Form has been examined by attorneys in California and they have flatly stated this is illegal.I am happy to scan and email the documents to your office or upload them to the web site.
This is our main bone of contention with this company: None of the services in the unit were ready and the place was infested with cockroaches- a health hazard. It is against the law for a rental property owner to knowingly put a tenants health at risk, yet they thought nothing of doing this.There were so many things wrong we left. They couldn't even provide mailbox keys that were the right ones. I returned them to their office. It was also putting our lives in danger to live there. No more than 1200 feet from our front door a neighbor was shot and killed by another tenant. As I watched with my own eyes the police arrived from the college across the street and I saw the security guard chase them down with gun drawn it meant our lives were in danger... it clearly meant the brochure did not live up to the promises made. Later in the month I found out from local police that the unit we were given the keys to had someone commit suicide. Not a good omen.I should ask for the entire $2250.00 paid to be refunded but I want to be reasonable. The morning after we moved in there was a 3 day notice on the front door !These guys have the nerve to hire staff, do a bait and switch, that are not good at the job- the left hand does not know what the right hand is doing... Jeez. I want to also say I left all 3 key cards and 3 keys to the unit on the table but forgot my internet router valued at $100.00 and they should return it or pay for it. Below is the letter I sent to them that outlines why we left and my thoughts on the matter.

To Whom It May Concern,
Since moving here we have had to deal with one neighbor being shot and killed and another arrested, cockroaches crawling over us, and our clothes and food, and silverfish and other small bugs. All of this frightened my spouse. It is obvious that you are not doing the maintenance on all the units on time and the surrounding areas of the buildings. There is painting that was also done incorrectly, spackling not done right, mold, paint and other stains on the concrete in the porch, and bathroom and kitchen tile, and around the tubs. The stove fan does not work. All of this should have been corrected before we moved in.
My wife is disabled and all of this puts added stress on her. I was told in the initial meeting and tour with Brian that all these problems would be avoided. None of this can wait for weeks or months on end. In addition to communication errors causing stress it took almost an entire month before the mailbox keys were given to us and they did not even work to open the mailbox. The TV remote is missing, and there have been sudden unexpected power outages out of the blue after a light rain or for no reason.
It is clear that the staff do not have good communication with each other because after the first night sleeping here Travis put on our door to unit 2911 a 3 day notice to quit. This and other annoying problems may not seem like much but taken all together has made me draw the conclusion we made a mistake moving here. It is obvious that there is a higher turnover rate here than we were lead to believe and the property is not giving us what we are paying for.
Due to the fact that the unit is a health hazard because bugs carry disease and this is not what we were lead to believe it would be when we were shown the display model, we are cancelling our contract with you and demanding our security deposit of $750.00 be refunded. . If you refuse to refund the security further action will be taken to resolve the matter. You can mail it to our mailing address or have me pick it up. All in all, the only positive experience we had was at the Publix grocery store.
We will be vacating the unit by the 4th if not before because that is when we moved in- on September 4th. All of this is a huge inconvenience that could have been avoided.
