I received a Rolex Yacht-Master as a Christmas present Dec 2010. I have been having financial difficulties so decided to do some research to find a company to help me sell my timepiece for the best price. After shopping around, I found Watchbrokers.com and decided to go with their company to help me sell my watch. I sent my watch to them and they cleaned and appraised it and gave me a call two days later to let me know the value of my watch. I was then given a broker to represent me by the name of Ty Gardner. Ty and I same to the agreement that the lowest price I would accept for my watch would be $4,200.00 with a 35% commission fee for him. Then it started....I couldn't get a hold of Mr. Gardner and ever time I would call or email him I would not get a response. After about a month of this, I emailed Mr. Gardner back and told him that I had thought long and hard about it and I would just like my watch returned to me. Low and behold, the next day I received an email back from Mr. Gardner telling me that he sis sell my watch for the minimum of $4,200.00 and I should expect my payment with 15 days from the buyer. That was on March 20th. I have since then sent COUNTLESS emails and made COUNTLESS phone call to the company wondering when I should be expecting my payment and the means in which I would be receiving the payment. It is now July 5th, 2011 and I have still not had one response from Mr. Gardner or anyone else from the company with whom I have attempted to contact. I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and the company Watchbrokers.com has until July 11, 2011 to respond to the complaint. I have also asked to receive the total amount of the sale of my watch totaling $4,200.00 with absolutely no commission given due to the horrendous business practices and unprofessional nature of my dealings with this company.

Update: 07/08/2011

I still have not received an correspondence from any such "employee" from Watchbrokers.com. I'll keep an updated log weekly.

  • Watch Brokers did the same thing to me! I dont think they should get away with it!! I think we have enough filed complaints against them that something should be done legally.
