I was selling a couch on Craigs List. I received an email from Kim Meyer on Thursday Oct 20, 2011 inquiring about the $450 couch. She said she wanted to buy it and requested we use PayPal. Since I have a PayPal account I agreed to use it to do the transaction as long as she agreeded to pay the service fees. I received an email from PayPal (so I thought.. it had all of PayPal graphics and was written as if it came from PayPal) with her money sent there. I received an email from Global Delivery which asked for my address to calculate the shipping cost... I was sent an email stating it was $300. I received Paypal emails showing the money paid to my PayPal account. I was asked to send $300 by Western Union to her Agent. She gave me his name Nick Beard, 1707 Honeysuckle Drive, Mansfield OH 44905 USA. I sent the $300 through Western Union. I was sent an email from Global Delivery with a pick up time on Monday at 4 PM. Then I received an email from Kim Meyer that she was informed that she had to pay $200 to insure the delivery. She went through the same routine: funded my PayPal, I received a letter from PayPal showing the money deposited, asking me to send the money using Western Union to same person .. so I did ... then I got another email showing my PayPal account had over $1,400 in it and Kim said PayPal made an accounting mistake taking an extra $400 from her bank and it was not reversable so she instructed me to send her a refund of $400 to complete the transaction .. I did not do this .. I called PayPal for an explanation .. this is when I realized I had been scammed. I have all the documentation to support this explanation.
