I received a email to sign up for free from Hot Closeouts 2013 but once I entered my bank information, I was charged $99 for a bid package that I didn't want. As with others it happened so fast, it was to late to know what had happened. So I have sent 4 emails trying to get my money back and have heard nothing so far. What a rip off this company is!

Update: 12/02/2013

I went to my bank this morning and filed a stop payment/dispute on the charge. They can not get there money! I did try the phone number 877-924-3390 only to be put on hold and then it hung up.

Update: 12/03/2013

I called this number 877-924-3390 and after being on hold for 35 minutes I finally got to talk to a human. And then after yelling for another 10 minutes, they said they would give me a refund! Now waiting.

Update: 12/09/2013

I did finally get my money back, called the phone number and after a lot of yelling I got a refund!

  • My own experience was that after talking with a rep on the phone they agreed to refund HALF the money and give me a gas voucher worth $100. The gas voucher turns out to be ten $10 rebates which you receive through the mail, one at a time. When you mail in one rebate with your gas receipt you are mailed the next one. I told them I was not interested and want my entire $99 refunded. They insist that it is not refundable even though I did not authorize this transaction. I have contacted my state Attorney General's office.

  • Oh and by the way, in order to get these $10 gas rebates your registration has to remain active. Who knows what hidden charges that involves? And I doubt any reimbursement ever results from those gas rebates!
