I got a pop-up for a free trial of Garcinia Cambogia Plus and since they said it was the only Garcinia recommended by Dr. Oz from TV I figured what the heck, and went to the site.

A very long, detailed and slick advertisement convinced me that their Garcinia Cambogia, along with the Green Coffee Cleanse Ultra were the only way to lose weight effectively.

I decided to give it a try and when I went to the Paypal page the amount shown was $4.99 for each bottle.

Sixteen days later I saw on my online bank statement I had been charged $79.99 (or $79.95) twice, one for each bottle.

I found the website and called their customer service to complain.

They said the information about the true cost of these products were clearly set out in the Terms and Conditions (a minute small link at the very bottom of several pages of the ad).

I told him well, I did not even see the link for the Terms and Conditions and I wanted my money returned to my bank. I even offered to return the two opened bottles.

The customer service rep said sorry, can't do that but did offer to refund 40% of what I had been charged.

So at $79.95 per bottle that's an approximate total of $159.90, not the $9.98 I thought I was paying.

They have refunded the 40% but I am still out roughly $95.84.

I think this company is not on the up and up and counts on people not even seeing the Terms and Conditions link let alone reading it.

Nowhere on my confirmation order or my paypal receipt does it say this purchase is a 15 day trial period and if you don't want to pay the real price of $159.50 you have to call within 15 days to cancel.

Now I'm 67 years old and my eyesight isn't what it used to be so once this rep told me about the terms and conditions I returned to the site and after using a magnifying glass to help me find it, I did indeed find the link. And yes it did give the dollar amount of $79.95 per bottle. Had I seen this I would never have completed the purchase.

Refunding 40% comes nowhere near to making this transaction legitimate.

Update: 01/06/2014

Nothing further has happened since they refunded 30% of my purchase price. I thought that was pathetic and should be considered illegal. If you promise the moon you don't deliver green cheese.
