I joined match and met a bunch of people 3 of them were international, one of them in particular John Saltz contacted me continuously throughout the day, via text, email, Yahoo messenger, cell phone, work phone. I never really thought too much about it, he preceded to falling love quick and fast asking me to be his wife, marry him and spend forever together. Professing his undying love for me constantly. Wherever I wanted to live we talked about house towns kids family and he was planning a trip to the states. Sending me love letters and poems and spending much time talking. He asked if I would take myself off match and at first I wasn't hearing anything about it, but I continued to receive many emails from others and was getting overwhelmed. I hid my profile and continued to talk to John, he told me he was a oil rig developer in 3rd world countries and traveled often, basically he was married to his job. He would talk to me abou this work and the proposals he sent and who accepted them to the point that he would send me the contracts and ask me where I thought "my husband" should be working. He also wanted me to know how much each country would be paying for the job, I guess so I would think he was a billionaire. He was getting ready to leave for Ikeja, Lagos Nigeria for a 3 weeks project. He got there on Friday July 1st and of course the 800,000.00 check he brought to start the project wasn't going to clear for 5 business days making it not clear until Friday July 9th. He kept asking me what I thought he should do because he only had 450.00 on him in cash. I was shocked why would a business man that travels often not be prepared for this type of thing and why would he only have 450.00 on him when travels to such places like Nigeria. Either way he started to harass me but all along in a sweet tone, do you trust me do you love me aren't you my wife well we need to watch each others back.....blah blah Needless to say I was stupid enough to send him 650.00 like an idiot. I'm so angry at myself, I know better than this I am an educated smart woman, if one of my friends had told me this story I would say to them whats wrong with you this is a scam!!!!! Either way he was very grateful and proceeded to cal and call and then he got sick...So now at this point I'm realizing I'm not feeling right about any of this something isn't right and he wanted more money. I drew the line and he continued to push and pressure me, even threatening me and getting bossy and forceful. Then all of the sudden nice and telling me how much he loved me but that he was sick and needed an injection bc he was so sick. I told him to figure it out, July 2nd was my birthday I wasn't home all day and came home and had an email from MATCH...ALERT ALL OF YOUR ACCOUNT INFORMATION HAS BEEN CHANGED = I freaked out because I didn't do it. It was all changed username, password, email, address, gender what I was looking for and i found out form Match, they also took all my pictures and put new pics up. The new pics they put up was of the guy John Saltz that I was talking to at this point I'm terrified - I have avoided all contact with him although he continues to harrass and stalk me, actually now that he has my address from hijacking my account, he sent me roses today with a very very scary note - that read "Sweetie here is a little gift for you, I will arrive at your door just like the roses. I was like omg - I'm afraid for my life!!! How do these people get away with this and doing this to us!!!!
