the person I talked with (name Mark Nelson) I pushed to find out his real name cause obviously he was Indian. His real name Sachan (or so he said). they called and said they were calling from microsoft -- getting messages of some sort alerting them to mnany problems in my computer. Brought up a screen which showed a bunch of red check marks stating these were all error messages that needed to be elminated. At the end they would get in and clear all this software problem and it would only cost $179. I only have a discover card and they don't accept discover. Said I should go to the stoer tomorrow and get a Visa card for $179 and pay them tomorrow. They worked on my computer for 2 hours. Now I read online about t he mess someone else got into after refusing to pay them. Did I damange my computer in any way by doing this? Have I just been scammed for $179, which I can ill affordo on S.S. How do these people get my info?, etc? This is a big worry right now, and though I hate to go tomorrow and get the Visa card, I feel Im between a rock and hard place here. Any suggestions?

my new address is (Personal Information Removed). Cannot access my other address. Denied the 179 /came through at 183.43 from India. they called and we talked. See what happens. Hope you can give me some input.
