WE WERE AWAY FOR ONLY A SINGLE NIGHT!!!!!! A NIGHTMARE!!!!! We were referred by Gold Coast Scuba, to this absolute dump!!! Broken beach chairs, a frigid "heated" pool,vermin & insects everywhere,no Wi Fi as advertised, only 2 other guests (wonder why LOL?) & insane women running the place. I will be dedicating time to writing bad reviews on Scambook etc. This was our 1st vacay in SIX YEARS & we figured we`d just deal with it...but THEN-on the afternoon of our arrival, after checking in, we were relaxing sans clothing in bed. An urgent knock at the door came. We scrambled to get our clothes on but the nut job at the door came crashing in while we were nude. "YOU MUST COME TO THE DESK W/ YOUR ID ETC.!!!" a dissheveled drunken woman yelled at us. I was enraged & got to the desk before Rich (he was gathering our Expedia paperwprk). The insane manager (RACHEL) starts screaming that we hadn`t paid our bill (which we now know we DID!!!). She would not allow us to access a computer or phone to call Expedia. With hindsight we now understand that this (Inappropriate Content Removed) was looking for any excuse to toss guests onto the street, as the hotel is due to begin (MUCH NEEDED) renovations on 11/17 (maybe they wanted to begin earlier???). I was so upset that I told her "You know, where I come from this barging in on people`s privacy would earn you something called a NYC BEATDOWN." The crazy bitch then calls the hayseed police (!!!). After we discovered that we did pay (she claims it was Expedia`s mistake) she says "I`m refunding your money anyway!!". I tell you, I don`t know what`s going on in this madwoman`s life (she has glaringly obvious mental & personal issues), but you do not behave like this. And she will PAY for it. Expedia got us into a different hotel, but obviously we now had a bitter taste in our mouths & desired to put distance between us & the sleepy hamlet of Lauderdale By The Sea. We went there to dive & the water was for crap anyway. We`d been wondering what we would do there if there was to be no diving (the town has nothing but some restaurants & the oceanfront, that`s IT). Still, we figured we`d just relax & hope we could at least get some snorkeling in, if diving was unsafe bevause of rIptides etc. BUT THIS LUNATIC RACHEL RUNIED IT FOR US. DO NOT STAY AT THIS DUMP, EVEN POST RENOVATIONS, BECAUSE RACHEL & HER CRONY WILL STILL BE THERE. AFTER THE FACT WE FOUND NEGATIVE REVIEWS THAT SPOKE OF BAD ATTITUDES (NATCH) & POOR HOUSEKEEPING 9THAT`S WHAT YOU GET WITH A METH HEAD CLEANING THE ROOMS). A LITTLE INN BY THE SEA IS A JUNKPILE, RUN BY (Inappropriate Content Removed) WITH EMOTIONAL ISSUES!! STAY AWAY, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you enjoy playing Russian Roulette, book them. Otherwise I hear Captain`s Quarters is very nice. A couple who had their nightmare experience w/ Little Inn mentioned (on Trip Advisor & elsewhere) that this is where they`d switched their reservation-AFTER fighting with Rachel the nutjob (who refused to give them a refund). Oh yes, & we were not allowed to check in until FOUR PM!!
