On the night of September 16, 2013 I first saw on my TV the Quiz Hour program. They were asking audiences to phone a certain telephone no. to identify a subject on the screen and they said the winner can win a certain amount of money. There's also a charge for calling the telephone number they provided. I unsuspectingly dialled the number they provided but each time my calls were met with a recording saying that I am caller number such and such, but never the caller on the right line. That was fine until later I noticed that they increased the prize money several times, in the space of between 15-30 minutes. It was just not possible that in 15-30 minutes nobody got through on the right line, until the program was reaching its end. Clearly they tried to entice more people to call, but without the intention to really take their calls until just before the program ends. If they didn't intend to take the calls (which they charged people for) at the first few times and they deceptively made people believe that they could get through to have a chance to win the initial amount. I incurred phone charges of C$20 (before hst) for the calls I made that I wouldn't have made. I would therefore like to report this and I think they should reimburse me.
