Yes....this guy did the same today (Feb 24, 2012) he called himself "Mark Myers". Called me and said I had won a "Major prize" and that they were about 30 minutes away. He said I should wear a nice clean shirt to receive my prize. I was scrambling to get a shirt on (lol). I was waiting for the "catch" or the part that made it a scam or something. After about 5 minutes of useless re-affirmation that I was the winner I was actually starting to think this could possibly be legit. THEN, he said I had to wire $258 through Western Union. This was the amount that was necessary to release the amount from customs. I couldn't stop laughing! He kept saying "do you think this is a joke??" I said "No, I think this is a criminal scam!"
I can't believe they will resort to do this. It's bad enough they scam our inboxes but to have the gall to call and try this! This is criminal activity and I'me moving to act with the RCMP to have these scumbags arrested. I'm glad this previous contactee obtained an actual contact in Jamaica (Howricia Downie Hanover, Jamaca WT). This is valuable.
If the thug responsible for the call is reading this now I just want to tell you: "YOU WILL BE CAUGHT AND WILL GO TO JAIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" I would turn yourself in right now!!!!! -
