On June 21st 2013 my new husband and I was honeymooning in ST. Thomas VI. and we was approached to win a prize of cash a vacation voucher w/ a scratch off . So we scratched of the card and won . To get the prize we had to back to their office . We sat threw the spill they were offering and had no interest when it came to price . They then began to tell us they had a voucher that had went fault and we could get same voucher for the remaining balance due. We where interested as they kept adding prize's to the pot . We was told we put so much down now it would hold our member voucher we could pay the rest after we came home. We left the next day and returned to IL. On the plane home I was reading over the papers and realized he had never subtracted the 500.00 we put down and the original price was $ 1000.00 higher . I called the following Tuesday the 25 th. No answer , I left a voicemail for them to call me back I had some questions over the bill. No call was returned I then called several other times the next few days , still nothing . So I call the other number that was listed on our paperwork explaining I could not get ahold of them and no one has returned my calls , they explained this was the vacation booking department they had no in with Devine destinations in VI. I began to get concerned asking if this was a legit business . They attempted to call and get threw , they could not as well. They suggested I do not send any further $ till. I received the book of info and membership with there co. So I did not. I called again no answer at all . I had not heard anything till Aug. 3 rd. 2013. Mr. John Jureidini the president Wanting the the money. I explained to him I have called, left messages and I had never receive my member package or a email till today? His response was they have had trouble with there answering system . I explained I was not sending any money till I receive the member pkg. he reminded me then I signed a contract. I have still never received a package, a email , or phone call until today Oct.23, 2013 I served a summons.
Devine Destinations is not only asking for $ 3663.00 plus 3125.00 for the gifts we never got and court cost for a total $7,360.50 Along with a letter stating our best interest was to pay the debt amount listed because they was certain that I would loose if I fought this in court. With nothing in hand that I was promised it makes it a little hard to send $ 7360.50 . Don't know which way to go with this? Help!!
