Guy came to the door selling magazine subscriptions for "his school" I asked him what school and he told me University of Tennessee Knoxville. I asked what he was doing in Nashville and he said he had been visiting his parents over Fall break and that he was leaving for the airport later that day to head back to school. I asked what he was studying and he said Journalism. He had a decent answer for all my questions and seemed warm and friendly. I subscribe to Spin magazine and had wanted to renew it, so I thought it was a good time to do it. Wow, I'm dumb. As soon as I paid the guy, I closed the door and just thought I'd check to make sure it wasn't a scam. Sadly after reading all these posts online, I now know it is so I have canceled the check with the bank and will be changing my checking account number so that my account won't be used by them. I have now also put a "No Soliciting" sign on my door. =)
