This refers to voucher nos. VG 3285 and VG 3424 which were sold to me by the sales team of the organisation on the pretext of certain lucrative offers.

The offer included a gift being a Dell Laptop. I was asked to buy two vouchers worth Rs. 6949 each to be entitiled to such gift. I bought two packages for which there was one direct debit to my HDFC Account and the other voucher payment was made in cash.

I was informed that the vouchers and the gift package would be delivered within 10 working days. I received the vouchers but not the gift.

Subsequently i received a call from one Mr. Vikram Shukla who informed me that since for one of the package the payment is made in case, the gift pacakge could not be delivered. He said he will cancel the cash payment voucher and issue a new voucher with a direct debit and pursuant to that i will receive the refund for the cash payment voucher and also the gift as promised earlier.

This all conversation had happened in the month of August. He also provided with a contact number in case i do not receive the gift package. The number is +91 87505 46154 begin_of_the_skype_highlighting +91 87505 46154 FREE end_of_the_skype_highlighting.

I did not receive any gift package. On repeated calls at the above number once Mr. Vikram Shukla again reassured that i will get the refund as well as the gift pacakge within 10 days and this was on August 26, 2013. However, neither i received the refund nor the gift package.

After this Mr. Vikram Shukla has not been responding to the calls. I made repeated attempts to sort the issue but to no avail. During one of such calls, one person named Rahul responded and informed that Mr. Vikram Shukla is suspended from the Organisation. Rahul spoke to me and told me that he is aware of my case and he would definately help me out on the matter. He also promised to refund the money and dispatch the gift package. This conversation happended on 10th Sept 2013. He asked me to wait till 22nd Sept 2013 by which date the refund would be credited to my account and also the gift package would be delivered and i can connect to him on the above number.

It is very regretting to inform that till today have not received the refund or the gift package. Further, as usual Rahul is also now not responding to my calls.

I have also spoken to customer care department and made repeated request that the Company's sales department is fooling customers by false promises. I have been told by the customer care representative that its customer's loss and they are not responsible for any wrong things done by the sales department.

This is disgusting. The Company as a whole is responsible for act of any of its representative and i am shocked to have a reply from the customer care department stating that they are not responsible for sales departments actions.

I have been constantly trying to resolve the issue amicably but to no avail and now am forced to take some legal action against the Company and its representatives.

My repeated attempts have fallen to deaf ears and therefore i feel a customer means nothing to the organisation. I am dejected by the way the organisation is dealing with its customers.

I once again request that appropriate measures be taken at the earliest or else it damage the reputation of the organisation, especially when the organisation is in the business of tourism.

  • I am victim of the same company, i want to ask you one thing that haven't you made a police complain against VACATION GATEWAY
    how could they fool peoples like this. this is serious and we have to make a police complain against them
