I ordered a vacation package, which seemed too good to be true, so I should've known better. Well I decided I couldn't afford it afterall and called back to cancel, just 3 hours later. They said they would cancel and refund my money and I should receive it within 7-10 business days. Well today is the 10th business day and still nothing. I tried calling the company again and I can't even tell you how many times they hung up on me. Even the manager, Gail, refused to speak to me and continually hung up on me. When I asked for her manager, she said she was the top of the chain, which honestly is very scary. I finally had to call my bank and file a claim because the company wouldn't help me whatsoever. STAY AWAY from this company!! They won't tell you where they're located (one guy finally said he was in Cancun!!) and EVERY employee is rude and unhelpful. I regret this entire transaction and wouldn't wish this on anyone!!

Their website is firsttravelsvc.com... STAY AWAY!

  • How was it advertised to you? My husband got a memo from work about it. I signed up on Friday and am starting to wonder about them.

  • I bought the same trip. Yes giving the 45 day notice they ask was a little annoying but aside from that they fulfilled the package as promised. It was 298 for two and in the long Run I think we ate and drank more then that dollar amount cause it was am all exclusive. All in all it was a pleasant experience and I'd recommend it. Also the Dominican Republic is has AMAZING waters to say the least.

  • I think the last 2 comments above me are fraud comments as well since they were both posted on the same date. Yes, I was also a victim of this "travel agency" . They sent a fax notice to my workplace about the all inclusive 6d/5n deal only for $148 pp. Too good to be true, eh? Then I did the reservation for 2 people and they told me I can call back anytime if I've finalized my booking dates. Now, I cant even contact them! They hung up on you, tell you they will call you back but nothing happens!!

  • They said they would send me everything in the mail and I never did get anything. They sent me an email with all the info too but I wasn't able to look at it unless I signed this document. Odd you have to sign something just to be able to see your reservation details. Never had to do that with any other online travel agencies. Did you get your money back?

Oh and when I called they only had one package left. was that the same with you?

  • Whitney, did you get your cash back? Marie I agree with your comment about the fraud comments. I was stupid enough to sign up and pay for a family vacation in Hawaii. I have been waiting on my "package" to arrive via snail mail, it's two weeks overdue. I've called in to Vacation Cities, or First Travel, or what ever they are, every day since - and gotten nothing but rude customer service, hung up on, forwarded to dead phone lines, etc!!! For example...today I called in to talk with my "agent" alias "Leo Howard". I was put on hold for 10 minutes, then auto forwarded to a non active voice service. I called back a second time. Tried to speak to the person I had on the phone, who cut me off mid sentence and forwarded me to a "manager", which ended my call on a dead line. I called a 3rd time and was given the customer service line - for the 5th time in a week. If you call the customer service line you get a voice service - reservations (1) puts you on hold for an eternity. I tried the personal extensions - 2146 "Gail" first. I got someone using a bogus voice. He hung up on me mid sentence. So I moved through the list of personal extension numbers and reached Courtney. She gave me the web url www.vacationcities.net and told me that I could view my package there. I visited the site and it is useless. I called back and cannot reach anyone - shocking!
