Placed an order for D3 gold, was then requested to provide pictures of my photo ID, preferably holding the ID in the picture to match the face to the ID image.

I found this to be suspicious because it's not the online vendor's responsibility to verify identity, that is what paypal is for, and searched for d3face.com scam on google, and came across this (and many other sites). I proceeded cautiously, but since I had already submitted the paypal transaction, and paypal doesn't refund virtual money, I figured I would do my best to at least get them to deliver.

The end result was they claimed to be out of stock of gold, just like other scam claims reported. I demanded an immediate paypal refund, which they had earlier offered to give after 10 hours. They claimed zero gold stock on D3 hardcore servers, despite having up to 10Billion as a one time order, "guaranteed"
