I bought a used Denali from Sidney (Sid) Pierce in Rexburg, ID. After I got the fluids including the oil changed, I immediately got a low oil pressure warning. This warning chimes very loud and makes the car almost undrivable. I went to two different mechanics including the Chevy Dealer here in Helena, MT and they spent 2 hours diagnosing the issue and said there is an engine knock and the engine is shot. To get a newly remanned engine installed will cost around 5000, with the dealer quoting me 6800 for a new one.
I told Sid about this issue and all he said is "sorry I didn't know about it". I have read that you can make this warning go away by adding thicker oil to the engine. It also gets very bad gas mileage, much worse then it should. I find it very unlikely that he could not know about this issue.
Because he didn't disclose the problem with the engine I overpaid for this car. I asked him for a refund of $4000 to settle this dispute which he never responded to.
I would avoid dealing with this scammer, and avoid doing anything business related with him. You may end up getting scammed like I did : (.
