i met Maria on the social dating site "Girls Date For Free", she posted no pic, and then told me to meet her and chat on yahoo, we swapped pics there and chatted, after a week or so told me she was in financial trouble and she was in Kuala Lumpur, and needed money to ship her goods back home,as she claimed to be a business woman buying antiquities and resell them in Australia for a profit, she sent me a bill in her name for $392, over the following 4 weeks she had informed me she had no money, no food and the hotelier where she stayed had seized her passport.
Progressively i was sucked in to her scam,depositing several amounts of money into her private ANZ bank account promising me that she would repay me upon arriving back in Sydney, when she had paid her bills.
I repeatedly told her to seek help from the Australian consulate , as it is their job to help stranded travellers, to this she replied that she had to wait, as they could not see her 'till a later date.
I reluctantly kept giving to her thinking she was the real deal, up until tonight i stumbled across her listing as a scammer on this site,
i feel like the biggest fool...as i even borrowed money to help her.
