Received call from a (Indian accent) gentleman stated I Qualified for a Grant from the Government just because I have no criminal record. He said the amount was 7000 dollars (wow my lucky day). He informed me I had to call his supervisor @ 202-697-9163 (a Washington DC area number)and speak to Rex Collin and give my Money approval number (LK619)and how I wanted my money which of course I said cash.Well it sure sounded like a scam but the Washington area number had me wondering so I called ,and after a lot of questions which he seemed prepared to answer .I found out all I had to do was go to Western Union and wire $250 to confirm my identity ,and that I would get that refunded with my $7000 grant money. So I then repeated back to him " I have to send you money to get money" .I said OK sure but first let me contact the Attorney General in my state to make sure this is not a scam.He replied ok sir
I thought for sure he'd hang up, they must of been doing this for a long time
