Received a call, supposedly from a grandson visiting in Mexico City, who was with some Canadian friends who were caught up in a traffic stop and search that exposed dope in the car. Grandson was innocent and would be exhonerated, but needed to post a refundable $3500 US bond in court. I was instructed to send the cash to a Bobby Willson in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, which I did.
Later, I was told by the phone contact who called himself Sergeant Steven Mills, that my grandson was freed but would have to post a refundable fine of $4500 US in order to be released to leave the country. I never sent that amount and eventually discovered that my grandson was not in Mexico.
