Tony Guzman from ABS Consulting contacted me about buying our timeshare at the Grand Mayan in Mexico. He said they already had a buyer and we were part of a $1.2 million dollar portfolio that this "travel" company was buying. First it was the title transfer of $4,770, then it was the upfront commission of 8% for $4,129.60. All this money was supposed to come right back to us and was going to be reimbursed by these (fictitious) buyers. After waiting weeks for our money, then came the tax from the Mexican government that "nobody saw coming" to the tune of $9,807.80. Again, this was going to come right back to us. All of these funds were wired to Mexico through an intermediary bank in the US. These funds were held in an escrow account by the trusted Closing Company, who turns out to be in cahoots with ABS. Again, we waited weeks for our transaction to finalize. Then, once again, the straw that "nobody saw coming"- an additional fee for insurance for the wire transfer funds for $7,400. Well, enough is enough, and we weren't going to pay any more. And that is when both ABS Consulting and JPM Closing Company fell off the face of the earth and stopped answering any calls. I have left over 100 voice messages, emails and pleas for somebody to get back to me. I suppose they have packed up and moved out by now. The worst part is Tony Guzman, Sean Foley from ABS Consulting and Steve Griffin from JPM Closing Company all three swore individually that this was not a scam and that these were legitimate companies and this is how these timeshare sales work in Mexico. Steve Griffin even told me to trust in God on this deal. These two companies are fraudulent and Tony Guzman, Sean Foley and Steve Griffin are all liars and scam artists! Do not deal with these people or these companies!! They will say whatever it takes to get your money and they should not be trusted!
