I have been getting numerous amounts of calls from a place called US Money Network saying that i owe them $400 for an unsecured loan i have gotten with their company. Today they called me and totally freaked me out saying that i am going to court for being sued for 3 counts of felonies;

1.) Violation of federal bank regulations.
2.) Check Fraud
3.) Theft By Deception.

so i called back the number ( 855-276-8970) to see what this was all about.

upon the company answering the call the guys name was Chris ( last name unknown) I asked him what he ment by i was being sued by a company i have never heard of before. he wouldnt read what i was being sued for at first and started being threatening towards me when i started asking more questions, so i demanded to speak to his manager and or suprivisor. He told me that he was the only person i could speak to and i persisted to talk to someone else and he told me no and then put me on hold. And what made me irritated is that he came back on the line by a different name stating that he was "charles". So i hung up the phone.

What this is starting to sound like to me folks is a scam. I did go through all the precautions of placing a fraud flag on all my credit accounts seeing as the company has my SSN for some reason. I talked to the FTC for them to file a report as well.

They told me some good info that might be helpful for you all.

If they call back have them verify the debt ( or attempted claimed debt) in writing. If they give you the round about saying that they cannot or will not, then it is a spam.

Words of advice;

1. Place a fraud alert on your credit reports( 90 days), and review them.
2. File an official complaint with the FTC.

Best of luck!
