I was scammed by a false article I found on the internet. It was an article under the stolen banner of Women's Health Magazine. I read an article by a supposed reporter who had tested the product. It turns out that this article was a fake on a fake version of Women's Health Magazine website. They offered a free trial of Green Tone Pro and Ven Cleanse as long as you pay the shipping for $5 each bottle. Turns out, it was a 14 day trial that you must cancel with them within the 14 days from ORDERING not receiving the product. If you don't cancel within the 14 day window after ordering the trial, they will charge you $79.95 US for the Ven Cleanse and $89.95 US for the Green tone pro. The bottles only have 60 capsules in them so it is over a dollar for one pill. They consider the trial bottles they send not as samples but as a trial so if you don't like it, you can cancel your subscription and not be charged. How they expect a person to receive the "trial" bottles, test the pills which are meant to have a long term effect, decide they are dissatisfied, and then cancel the subscription and return the bottles all in 14 days, is beyond me.

When I called the green tone pro/ven cleanse people to complain, they completely held strong to their terms and conditions. The refused to take the bottles of pills back (even though unopened) and there was no negotiating a refund at all. He said that if they did a refund they would have to do it for other customers. When I told him they should do it for other customers, he told me that if they did that, they would lose trust in their customers. I then told him that they should be more worried about their customers having trust in them and not the other way around. That conversation clearly fell on deaf ears.

After this he was bold enough to tell me that they had charged my credit card again for the $79.95 US for the Cleanse and $89.95 US for the Green tone pro as it was a second month. I would have had no way to know that as my credit card statement for that had not come yet. When I found this out, I tried to negotiate with the man on the phone to say I would be willing to pay the first charges but if they could refund the second ones that had just happened and I haven't even received the bottles yet. I told him that once the bottles arrived, I would send them right back. He refused this. He would not budge at all.

During the phone call, he told me that he didn't have the authorization to do refunds but there were managers on the floor that would be able to perhaps do something. At the end of the call, I said to him that I would like to talk to the manager above him. Then he told me that I wasn't going to believe him but he was the manager. I reminded him that he told me he wasn't the manager and he denied saying that. He then started to go on about how it is a Saturday and that he is working an extra over time shift and that I shouldn't expect to get anywhere with this. I then asked again if I could speak to a manager above him and he hung up the phone. Clearly there is no manager. It probably was one guy sitting in a filthy basement. Perhaps he wasn't lying about the fact that he was the manager as he was probably the only employee.

This is clearly a massive scam. They trick people into a getting what they advertize as being a free bottle and all you have to pay is the shipping. This is absolutely insane. This should be stopped and I can't believe that I fell for this. I've now had to send all sorts of emails to them to guard myself against further charges/orders on my credit card. Even after I cancelled my account officially, they still tried to send me coupons and promotions to get me to buy their product. They just started to spam my inbox with all of their propaganda. I had to sit on the phone with my credit card company for the entire morning and ended up cancelling my credit card to ensure they don't charge me again.

I'm not sure if I can ever see my money back. I feel really stupid for falling for this and extremely angry that there are such deceitful people ripping people off.
