I replied to an ad on Craigs list for an IPOD 4th generation. The person replied with the below message in " " scroll down. I went to the website, bought the lowest possible amount of bids. The thing is there are very few decent items on the site but you don't know until you buy.
After looking into this today and seeing a telephone number on this site I called the customer service #. I spoke to Gary Mitchell @ Deal Fun at 10:23 am Eastern time on 10/12. He said the credit card transaction hadn't even completely gone thru yet and would void the transaction for me. He then gave me a refund confirmation number. I immediately checked my credit card and the transaction did in fact go thru already and they are not able to see a refund yet. I am going to file a dispute if the refund doesn't show up. I want to warn everyone that I can to avoid the same mistake I made.

EMAIL REPLY THAT CAME TO ME ABOUT SITE:
" Hey there
Someone just bought this from me, but I can tell you where I got it from.
I just picked up 4 of these from dealzfun.com and I resold them for some extra
money.

Since the site is new theres like nobody online, nobody is bidding, its like
xmas all over again. The trick is to bid right when the counter hits 3 seconds
and you win pretty much every time.
Regards"

AND BTW I TRIED TO REPLY TO THE EMAIL TODAY THAT WAS FROM KRISTIN .... IT IS AN INVALID EMAIL ADDRESS.
My suggestion is to check the email address first to see if it is valid that would have been a clue for me.

THANK YOU,

  • Hello,

Chris here from the Customer Relations team. Always here to help!

We are extremely sorry for the inconvenience! I have been able to research your account in detail and do in fact see that the transaction had gone through. Our customer service rep made a mistake in informing you that the charge did not go through, but the refund has most certainly been issued. It takes about 5-7 business days for the refund to show up in your statement.

Again, kindly accept our apologies. To re-confirm: the charge did go through but the refund has been issued and it will appear in your statement next week. The reason it takes 7 days for the refund to show back in your statement is because the transaction goes through multiple banks and channels, but it is most certainly refunded IMMEDIATELY from our side.

We take pride in our customer service levels. Our team is available around the clock and we are always here to help. Customer satisfaction is our main goal, and we go the extra mile to ensur
