On 6/18/13, the Federal Trade Commission commenced suit against US Law Center. They have engaged in various forms of consumer fraud in connection with loan modification services. (See www.smartfunding receiver.com for the court document). On 3/29/13, I filed a loan modification application with US Law Center and was told that I qualified for a modification. I was told that I first must pay for their services in the amount of $1,995.00. Once they received the payment that they would process my application and submit it to my mortgage loan service provider. They never did this for me. Their email addresses, phone numbers and website no longer exist.
