We applied for a short term loan online, and shortly after approval we got bombarded with phone calls from Cash Advance America to the tune of 30+ a day. They offered pre approved loans to three different employees without so much as asking their first name, and ignored every request to stop with their harassment. My employer asked if I thought this seemed strange to me or if he should try for the loan, after googling this company and seeing the problems they have caused for so many people I am glad we never got further than we did. They "approved" a 3,000.00 loan, and a 6 month payment plan without any sort of personally identifiable questions. They then asked for 500.00 to be sent to them, for "verification purposes" to be sure we could come up with the payments. I explained to them that without a contract or reasonable explanation as to why they wouldn't just call our bank, we were simply uninterested. You must make it clear to them that what they are doing is criminal, that seems to shut them up in a hurry.
